Quintus is a consort of five voices based in West Kent; two sopranos, alto, tenor and bass. We are a versatile ensemble but specialise in the music of the 16th to 18th centuries.
The group was formed in 2003 and since then has performed numerous concerts and church services featuring a wide variety of music suitable for one voice to a part performance.
We have also performed with additional voices, notably for a performance of Bach’s St John Passion in April 2006 and in May 2008 for a programme of music by Purcell and Bach, on each occasion with Finchcocks Baroque directed by Steven Devine.
